Everyone was helpful, from the planning the move stage to the final set up. The men on location were very understanding and patient as I tried to find the right placement for large carpets and kindly held furnishing up for me to put floor protectors on all items that were getting placed on freshly stained hardwood floors. This is the best experience I've had moving. If you're looking for a team that is quick, professional and understands your moving needs from client intake and through the end of the moving process, do yourself a favor and hire Smooth Move & Delivery. There are no hidden fees and they don't charge you until the work is done! Additionally, the movers did not ask for or require a tip - instead we graciously tipped them at the end of the process because we were SO IMPRESSED! I will continue to use them for all of my moving needs!

The crew of guys who handled our move were professional and terrific- we appreciated their hard work and conscientious care with all of our stuff; we were packed, organized and ready when they arrived and they took it from there. Two days later after closing they carefully unpacked truck placing everything in designated locations and set up beds - even waiting so a bed skirt could be placed. Highly recommend Brandon, Anthony, Alex, Jean Jacques and the other guys on their crew. 10 stars!

Smooth Move & Delivery was excellent! Due to childcare issues we weren’t able to pack up as we had promised. Our movers took it in stride and helped as we went along without complaining. Jonathan even helped my husband dismantle the couch when they couldn’t get it out the door! The move also took longer than expected and they stuck it out to the end. Amazing.

I have used Smooth Move & Delivery for two residential moves at this point. In both moves, all furniture was well prepared and handled with care. None of my possessions were damaged during the moves. They were also able to accommodate the regulations of the apartment I first moved into and later moved out of.The second move I also decided to use their packing services. They were very meticulous and organized about their packing. Everything was well protected and it made the move so much easier. If we were to pack ourselves it probably would have taken at least a month to do what they did in a four hour packing session.The staff who did both moves (and packing) were friendly, respectful, and thoughtful. I will certainly be using them again should we ever decide to move again.

Moving is really, really stressful, to the point that it’s a cliche. Using this company is like a form of self-care. You’ll be really glad you did.I would give this company six stars if I could.They were the one spot of sanity in the wildness of my recent move. They were calm and confident and they had reason to be.I can’t say enough positive about Smooth Move. They were responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, dependable, and flexible. Out of all the nonsense, I NEVER had to worry about the movers. Hallelujah!We moved from a packed 2K sq ft house to one over 4K. Out of all that stuff there was ONE broken drinking glass that probably was on its way out anyway. So they’re careful, too.They even moved my treadmill that weights approximately six million pounds.Do yourself a huge favor and call Smooth Move next time you’re moving.

I wished I had the names of all 3 gentlemen who have helped us moved. Brandon and the other 2 guys were phenomenal. They were patience and very understanding especially when I panicked about the whereabouts of my mother-in-law’s urn. Easiest move of my life. They were scheduled to come 11-2 and called at 8am to ask if they could come early which was a nice treat. They arrived promptly, assessed the inventory, wrapped all the furniture and had the truck packed within 45 mins. Move in at destination was painless as well. I’ll never use another moving company.

The whole moving experience was very smooth from getting the quote to the actual moving. The estimate was very accurate without any hidden charges. The price was very reasonable compared to the other quote I received. On the moving day, they arrived on time and moved very efficiently. There were some problems with apartment's loading dock but they still managed to finish on time. I would highly recommend Smooth Move to anyone looking to move.

We just used Smooth Move & Delivery for a move. The experience was fabulous from start to finish. From the moment I spoke to Steven Hirsch on the phone at the office we felt very taken care of through the whole moving process. I was explained every detail so there were no surprises. The day of the move everything was so easy and smooth. The movers showed up on time. They were very knowledgable, friendly and helpful throughout the whole move. The move was done in a timely manner which was great for us. All of our belongings were well taken care of the whole time. We want to thank you for making this such an easy and pleasant experience. I found SM&D via a Google search. Most of the time I'm very cautious about finding a business online and also believing that their reviews are from actual customer experiences. For all I know, they could give themselves a good review. But, I'm an actual customer and I will tell you they were exceptionally wonderful to speak and work with. I ended up rescheduling my move two times. The second time, they could have charged me a 25% rescheduling fee, but they didn't. Matter of fact, I was quoted $800 - $1000 for the move. After the workers started, I thought this should be way more than $1000. The actual cost ended up to be $970. Not bad!. I was so pleased, I tipped the movers $50 each. If I had more, they would've probably gotten moreI will say this regarding SM&D ... they arrived at 7:30 just as promised, called before they came to confirm I was home and ready, loaded the truck immediately - wrapping all furniture, tvs and beds. When unloading they took direction to make sure all items were placed where I wanted them to be in the house. They were done in 4 hours.Great experience from beginning to end!

We could not have been happier with this experience!! From the detailed quote provided by Steve, who was quick to respond to questions, to the actual day of the move, everything went...well, smooth is the best word! The quote was completely accurate, nothing above what we expected was charged, even though we ended up having more to move than expected, which took a bit longer, but they stood by their quoted hourly rate.As for the move itself, I cannot say enough about the efficiency, professionalism and respectfulness of Jonathan, Edwin and Brandon. Evan, Kevin and team were extremely professional, patient, knowledgeable and kind. We were able to schedule a virtual meeting to establish a proper estimate. Evan was 100% correct about the estimated time frame, size of truck needed and most appropriate number of team members. Everyone showed up on time and my family had nothing positive things to say about every person they encountered. My only call out would be verifying whether or not clothing and/or drawers need to be removed from dressers in advance. Overall, we highly recommend Smooth Move & Delivery. We scheduled our move about 3 to 4 weeks in advance and communicated with the team via phone, email or in person about 10 times. (I ask a lot of questions.) We received same day follow up to every question and inquiry, and really felt like they had our best interest in mind. We considered a total of 3 movers and Smooth Move & Delivery was not the least expensive quote, but overall our family was most comfortable with their team and the value they presented - and subsequently delivered.

They came through in a big way, accommodating us at every turn (such as when we asked for help packing about 36 hours before the move and they sent over a team without issue). Evan and his team lead by Patrick are the best. I have used Smooth Move and Delivery twice in the past two years. My only regret is that I did not leave a good review the first time! I've used many other movers in the past and most times you get career movers that are unmotivated and bang things around. Not the case with these guys, they work well as a team and Patrick know how to keep them moving efficiently. Some of the furniture on this move was my 87 year old mothers with an average of 150 years, some of which was falling apart. They wrapped it up like a baby and it showed up on the other side in the same shape. It is my pleasure to highly recommend this team and moving company.

The movers arrived ahead of time and were at the new address before we had a chance to arrive first. They immediately started unloading, put everything in its proper place, were very patient if there was a question as to placement, finished ahead of time and invoiced for considerably less than their low estimate. Wow!! I recently sold in Stamford after 38 yrs. and purchased up in New Haven County. What was a hectic and troublesome endeavor replete with idiotic estate lawyers and realtors who would experience difficulty selling ice to Siberian Eskimos, ended up being a breeze courtesy of SM&D!Prompt and economical quotes were right on point. There secure, temporary storage--accessible 7 days a week--was a lifesaver! The on-sight team is quick to access the job and think outside the box (creating a ramp to an uphill entrance and skillfully removing an antique door for safety). Throw all this together and I can say that Evan, Kevin, Mike, and the team (sorry I forgot some of the others' names) are the backbone of society. If they go, humanity goes!

I hired SM&D to help me load a U-Haul with very high-end furniture. My family used SM&D for our move in Stamford. It was a great experience! Everyone on the crew was professional and treated all of our belongings very carefully. Everything ended up at the new house in perfect shape and placed where we wanted it. It turned out we had more items in our attic than we had thought. The crew just got to work bringing them down, probably walking the distance of a vertical mile in the process! In addition everyone on the crew was personable, and friendly. SM&D recently moved my family, and although it was a short distance (Danbury to New Fairfield), moving is never easy. I'm glad I chose to go with SM&D - they were fantastic and I would highly recommend them! They arrived exactly when they said they would, ready to work. Every team member introduced themselves with a handshake...very professional. They worked fast and efficiently and were in constant communication to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I had a little more than would fit on a single truck, and they worked with me to make sure the larger items (things I couldn't fit in my cars) made it on. Unloading was the same, and they were sure to place each item exactly where we wanted it. They were very careful to protect our belongings, as well as avoid any nicks or dings to our new home. They even helped with the disassembly and re-assembly of all of our furniture, and encouraged us to do a walk-through at the end of each day to make sure nothing was missing or out of place. These guys worked really hard for the full time that they were paid, and their rates are very good, so I don't think you can find a better deal on a moving company.I hope to never move again, but if I do, I will definitely be using Smooth Move & Delivery.

Highly recommend! SM&D were extremely easy and efficient to coordinate my move with. I was able to provide pictures of the rooms to be moved and received an extremely reasonable quote (relative to other local CT and NY-based movers). The crew was courteous, helpful, and hard working! On packing day they pushed through packing all of our stuff in less time than estimated (meaning lower cost to me). On moving day they brought a large enough crew to pack my entire house in just a couple of hours (including wrapping and disassembling furniture), and moved us into the new house as quickly!On time, under budget, courteous. I would happily call SM&D to help if I need to move again any time soon!

What a fantastic experience! Buying our first home came with all the forewarned chaos, but I was also dreading the move as I’ve never done a large move before and one from a busy NYC location to a place an hour away. I heard so many horror stories, so I braced myself for the worst. Instead, our move was the best, most pleasant part of our entire home buying and relocating experience.I went with Evan by trusting my gut. He was so pleasant to interact with over the phone. He thoughtfully provided answers to all of my questions and concerns. And later when Evan realized a slight oversight, he and his crew went above and beyond to correct it.The move went perfectly. The crew of five guys arrived early and were able to snag a prime parking spot. They were all personable guys who worked quickly and efficiently. I was in awe. They were so efficient that the move clocked in under about 2 hours than estimated. I was amazed.The billing was professional and transparent. There aren't enough words to describe the positive experience we had with this company. Moving our 94 year old mother to Florida after 55 years in her house was a daunting task but Evan and Smooth Moves made everything fall into place for us. Our move included the relocation of our company office so we had to abide by two building management office moving policies in coordinating. This included requirement to complete move out of one office during the weekday, and requirement to move into the other office on the weekend. Evan from Smooth Move worked with us to make happen and it was seamless. Team of movers lead by Patrick and Ante took excellent care of our equipment, provided floor coverings to meet the building management requirements at both facilities, were very professional/ polite, and completed the move in a timely manner. Great service that helps you keep peace at mind. My only complaint is that a box, which I used a lot of protective insulation was dropped and they refused to cover the expense of the items that were broken.Other than that, the process went smooth. I personally wouldn't use or recommend them again if they are unwilling to own up to their mistakes.

I had a great experience with SMD. I had a relatively simple move consisting only of ~10 pieces of furniture. My fear was that the mover would find ways to add cost/drag out the time required. However, this wasn't the case and my move was completed faster than expected. The two movers that came (vs. three that were originally considered, which was great since it decreased the cost) were courteous, fast, and careful with my belongings. They wrapped and moved everything out easily and into my new location easily as well (watching out for surrounding walls, furniture, etc. with care). The final charge was well under max possible, and I could not have been happier with the experience.

I move quite a bit and have used other moving companies and none of them compare to Smooth Move & Delivery. They made it incredibly easy to schedule a time for a move. On the day of the move, the guys showed up on time and got right to work. They were incredibly friendly and professional. They were very communicative with me the entire time and took such good care of my possessions. I couldn't believe how quickly they got me moved in too. They even helped me decide where to put my furniture. Moving is so stressful, but they were able to alleviate a lot of stress for me.

This was a fast and easy move! My husband and I were really prepared (completely packed, everything labeled etc) and the movers were thankful and showed their thanks by moving quickly, which we appreciated. They were friendly and easy to talk to. They were happy to put everything where we wanted it and took care when putting the furniture back together. We'd definitely use them again!
